A Visit from Pappy Steve

Jonathan step dad, Pappy Steve, works overseas and only gets to come home for a couple of visits each year. He was able to be home for a couple of weeks starting near the end of January. With great persistence, I was able to capture a few good pictures of Pappy Steve and Abby catching up.

The first weekend Pappy Steve was home, Abby was a bit hesitant and slow to warm up. All that reluctance fell away quickly with the appearance of a laptop. Abby loves all things electronic. She was immediately up in Pappy Steve's lap trying not so subtly to sneak a touch on the mouse pad.



Abby also got her Nana Diana involved in one of Abby's favorite new social games. She backs up to the couch beside someone and lays her head back on the seat, waiting for her neck to be tickled. When the tickle comes, Abby squeals with delight, flops in the floor, and/or runs a few steps away. Then she repeats this process again and again until someone gets tired, usually the adult.





Thanks to Jonathan's crazy antics over my shoulder, we finally got a couple awesome pictures of Pappy Steve, Nana Diana, and Abby with no squirming to get down and an actual smile.



Abby wishes her Pappy Steve a safe and uneventful trip back to work and looks forward to another visit this summer!
