Abby kicked a similar soccer ball all over a sporting goods store on Black Friday and she loves to say "baw". After her birthday, Abby fell in love with her mylar "doon" that stayed inflated for over a week. She has eyes like a hawk and can spot a "doon" aisles away in Walmart or the grocery store. Abby relentlessly pursues her daddy's remote control. When she gets her hands on a remote control, she knows to point it at the TV. She loved her toy remote and was obsessed with it for about a day until she determined it was just a toy. She still plays with it but seems to think it is a phone now.
There is a reason why Abby looks more than a little sleepy and bleary-eyed in her Christmas morning pictures. Abby initially seemed to tolerate being out past her bedtime on Christmas Eve well enough, until she woke up around midnight. She was congested and restless becuase of her worsening cold. We had to suction her nose. Thanks to Abby's amazing to willingness to join anyone who's laughing, we had managed to turn the nose sucker into a game during daylight hours. But it was too late and she was too sleepy this time. She was still sleepy and the whole process must have scared her. She became completely inconsolable for several minutes, to the point that I have only seen her two or three times before. Abby rarely has a problem that can't be solved with a cuddle or a drink, but neither of those were working. We finally got her calmed down after about 10 or 15 minutes. She was back up around 3:00am but just need a little comfort that time. I guess we've learned our lesson about pushing our luck with bedtime.
